The Sound of Celebration

I'm a saxophonist from Vienna. I play live over house and EDM, from the first relaxed hour of an evening to the moment it peaks.

The story

Classical training, club instincts

I started with classical saxophone, first at the Friedrich Gulda School of Music, then at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. Classical training teaches you control: tone, breath, patience, the discipline of getting a phrase exactly right.

Jazz taught me the opposite, and I needed both. A summer at Berklee's Five-Week Summer Performance Program in Boston, two weeks at Umbria Jazz in Perugia under the same program, and I've been accepted to KUG Graz, where jazz studies start in October 2026.

On a dance floor those two halves meet. The DJ builds the set, I improvise over it, and the classical control is what keeps an improvised line clean at two in the morning.

Where the nights happen

The floor at peak time, saxophone over the crowd

Clubs and venues

Vienna is home ground: hotel bars, rooftops, galleries, club floors. The room decides the set, relaxed while people arrive, louder as the floor fills, and I've carried that from Vienna through ten countries, from Greece to Boston.

A golden hour set over a packed open-air floor

Open air and on the water

Beach clubs at sunset, boat parties, charter decks on the Adriatic and the Aegean. Outdoors the music has more room, and playing the golden hour into darkness is my favourite set of all.

The first dance, saxophone at the edge of the floor

Weddings and private nights

Ceremonies, aperitifs, birthdays, villa nights. Small rooms and big ones, and the same job either way: read the people in front of me and give the night its sound.

Jovan is professional, talented, and incredibly versatile as a musician. He perfectly captured the relaxed summer atmosphere of the event and beautifully complemented it with his saxophone. Great sound, a friendly and charismatic presence, and simply a wonderful addition to the event. Highly recommended!
